A Standard Time Sunset #SkywatchFriday

Is it really Friday already?

One of the few nice things about the now early sunsets is that it gives me more of an opportunity to see the sunset at a convenient time. Unless, of course, you are busy or working.  But Monday I was able to catch these pictures.

I took a walk near our neighborhood park.

Let's take a close up.

Sun continues to set.

Kissing the horizon.

Almost there.

The end.

  3. Absolutely beautiful.

The return to standard time means I have fewer opportunities to take a walk. Sigh.

  4. Lovely sunset pictures. They could well be pictures taken from my own backyard patio - the last rays of the sun shining through the trees.

  5. How late are sunsets for you in the summer? Having lived at the same latitude my whole life, I don't have a good concept of how long a day would be much farther north. (Our longest day has a sunset just after about 8 PM.)

  6. Nice captures, I love the colors.
When I was still working the only thing I liked about standard time was that I could take nice sunset photos from my office building without having to stay late.

  7. What a nice way to end the day taking pictures while walking. Enjoy these sunsets as long as you can.

  8. What a beautiful reflection on the change of seasons and the gift of an earlier sunset! It’s great that you were able to take the time to enjoy the sunset and capture its beauty with such calm moments. The imagery of the sun "kissing the horizon" really paints a peaceful picture.
