On Sunday I took a look at my back yard and found these.
Cuphea, which somehow survived a freeze up against the house.
And, my early blooming white Lenten Rose has buds hidden under the leaves.
A joyful moment. It won't last long - snow tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteHave a autumnictastic week and thanks for linking up 👍
It's always interesting how after a hard frost or two, you will find a flower blooming or other plants still growing because they are somehow sheltered just enough.
ReplyDelete...Cuphea is an amazing hummingbird magnet!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers
ReplyDeleteThe Lenten rose is so pretty. All my hellebores seem to have vanished.
ReplyDeleteWe've had some freeze here too. Winter is near. Beautiful shots and I'm glad this made your heart happy.

Yeah, it's almost that time. Hopefully it'll be a mild winter.
ReplyDeletepretty and pleasant surprises.
ReplyDeleteI love these floral surprises. I hope they survive. I have plants
ReplyDeletein the balcony. But I can not bring them inside, where there are also
more fragile plants. But I cover the flowerpots with some 'protections', because it's cold, even with the closed windows.
Happy WW and a fine week!❤️😘
Spotting wild flowers is nice. I see a few of them around here but not much.
ReplyDeleteYour picture reminded me that I used to grow cuphea. I need to add it again in the coming year. Hummingbirds love it.
