We've been in a rainy pattern this past week so I am going back a week to May 16.
Taken about 4:35 pm that afternoon, before the wavy clouds.
Just after sunset, I went outside and captured this view with wavy clouds.
From this direction you can really see the waves. This picture isn't blurred; it really looked like this. I am no weather expert but I wonder if high altitude winds caused this effect.
We are fortunate (so far) no flooding and no severe weather. I hope it stays that way.
I hope you are having a week free from severe weather.

...keep looking up at the beautiful ever changing sky!
ReplyDeleteNice skies.
ReplyDeleteWeather here is wet, rainy and unseasonably cold
Your sky photos are lovely, and the clouds are interesting. I love the after sunset shots with the trace of pink.
ReplyDeleteWe're been in a wicket rainy pattern here, had one day reprieve, and are expecting rain again for the next 4 days. Nothing pretty about our skies.
ReplyDeleteThose skies really are dramatic.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sky photos ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I like your waves in the sky. Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting question. Can you have ripples in the air like you do in water? I mean, the atmosphere is a medium, but gas and liquid behave differently under different circumstances. Hmmm... Something I'd have to look up.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Hopefully you continue to get no flooding.
ReplyDeleteWe've had our share of wavy clouds as well as big ole fluffy sky filling clouds which I absolutely love, especially in the late afternoon that'll catch the sitting sun colors. That's when the clouds frequently remind me of cotton candy. It's always puts a smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteThey really do look like waves! Beautiful sky shots.
ReplyDeleteWeather is rather miserable here too
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to pause and really take a close look at your skies.
ReplyDeleteWavy clouds, what a sight! I hope your weather continues to be enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture of the clouds.
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos. I am no expert on clouds but it seems that I've read that very high winds can blow the tops of the clouds. Maybe that is it.
