Earlier this week, I got a phone call from my sister in law. Did I want to go to see an event? I did, and on the way home, we drove past some buildings that were so familiar from when I used to work in a downtown office, but I rarely see as a remote worker.
I didn't expect to be in that area but it was a good opportunity for some sky watching.
Our local courthouse. The sun came out for a few seconds. Don't blink!Sky reflections in second story building. Our former train station, repurposed. There is a highly regarded steakhouse in that building now, but I wish we had Amtrak service instead. We haven't had train service in over 40 years.
Hoping all of my readers had a Happy New Year. Skywatcher Yogi blogged "I am wishing all of you a peaceful, healthy, rewarding, and prosperous 2026." and I second that thought. Thank you, everyone who makes Skywatch possible.
Joining Yogi and other sky watching bloggers for #SkywatchFriday.

The train station looks just like typical Australian one.

We have an old train station this is now a "Old Spagetti Factory" restaurant. We still have Amtrak service at a newer station (thankfully). Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. We've had rain for a few days.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
ReplyDeleteI had to go downtown to pay our property taxes on NYE. I had worked there for 28 years and I was a little uncertain how the area was laid out. It's been only six years since I retired. You don't use info, you lose it.
ReplyDeleteVery train station-esc. Yeah, train service has really fallen off a cliff in our country.
ReplyDeleteI like that first photo. I would look stunning for The Weekend in Black and White blog hop!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. The first is not my favorite.
