A peaceful Monday afternoon in the Southern Tier of New York.
Nature seemed to be drawing a line.
It was a beautiful day. People were out and about in local parks, or attending Memorial Day parades or ceremonies.
So peaceful here. Elsewhere in the park, children were playing and there was a softball game in progress.
Now, our temperatures have dipped again and winds are blowing. What will the next week bring?Joining Yogi and other skywatchers for #SkywatchFriday.

It is fascinating how weather can act like a literal border between seasons, especially over a holiday weekend. Memorial Day always feels like that official threshold where everyone is eager to get outside, soak up the park energy, and catch a game, even if the wind decides to remind us spring isn't quite finished yet.
ReplyDeleteSomething for everybody I guess.

ReplyDeleteThe weather has been a little bipolar, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous skies! I like the filtered view through the trees in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to collect photos of empty park benches. Yours is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
...I could sit on the bench and take in that view for awhile.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clouds.
ReplyDeleteThe skies can change so dramatically that two consecutive days may seem not to belong in the same month.
ReplyDeletePretty with the water. We have strange weather too.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year can feature quite changeable weather. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful day today.
