Skywatch Canandaigua Lake New York

Today, I participate, for the first time, in a blogging meme called Skywatch Friday, where bloggers from all over the world post a picture of the sky at their location. 

My post today is the sky right after sunset yesterday, at Canandaigua Lake, one of the Finger Lakes of upstate New York.
The reddish sky predicts a "sailor's delight" for today:  a beautiful, mild day.

    Very pretty sky! I like that you have the boat (ferry?) and dock in the shot, also! :)

      It wasn't a ferry, but, rather, is a paddlewheel replica used for cruises around Canandaigua Lake.

      Happy to hear that, with all the bad weather the east coast had. Both of us were too far west to catch the post tropical storm.

    What a beautiful sky. I'd love to live anywhere near a scene like that. I miss New England more than I can say.

    beautiful sky!! Sunsets in Sydney are pretty colourful.. all shades of orange and red... sometime flaming yellow too.

      There were some fishermen out on the edges of the lake, but I don't know if they were having any success.

    The reflections in the water and that cloud hanging low blocking the sun makes the picture even more perfect.

      Thank you! It was so serene. I took at least 10 pictures, at least more, of this sunset. Maybe I will post some more of them later this week.

    So beautiful! I surely do miss the beauty of the landscape around there. It's lovely here, don't get me wrong, but I miss that particular beauty. Hafta go visit sometime.
