Vestal, New York, after sunset.
This was the sky just around sunrise that same day, in nearby Johnson City, New York.

Day 18 of NaBloPoMo.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

The first picture is so foreboding. Beautiful captures though.
ReplyDeleteLove the drama!
ReplyDeleteWow amazing skies captured!
ReplyDeleteInteresting pictures.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely dramatic! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThe first picture looks as though a storm is in making. And the second one looks so calm . Like the after math of the storm..
ReplyDeleteAlthough both pictures are beautiful, the first is a bit ominous, the second more hopeful. Love the way we react to pictures not just with our sight but with our feelings.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a sky. Really beautiful. The colors are great. It looks so dramatic. That would make a great painting... If only I knew how to paint clouds... sigh.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between the two shots!
ReplyDeleteWow, that first one is a bit scary-looking!
ReplyDeleteI remember these skies from childhood in the area. Something about proximity to the Susquehanna River influences the cloud formations. Also remember the mysterious morning fogs.
ReplyDeleteYour first shot is definitely a bit unsettling! The other shot is quite amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue in the second shot.
ReplyDeleteWow, some amazing shots! I think sky pics are fascinating, with the ever-changing colors and cloud formations.
