This is something called Mona Lavender, which is actually a type of Swedish ivy. I have a plant in my bedroom window but I found this in a nursery and it spoke to me of spring.

I can only imagine how it feels in that biting cold, imagining the spring colours around you! I guess that is the power of the human mind and the imaginative power that we humans are endowed with, that lets us think of spring in the midst of a severe winter. Your post resonates with me as I'm going through a particularly stressful time on the family front and yet, thinking of a beautiful holiday, which is nothing short of a fantasy at the moment!

ReplyDeleteA splash of purple to make the gray of winter prettier. Well...we did get a bit of sunshine this week but yesterday wasn't one of those days and I think the rest of the week is going to be cloud covered. It's colder than I like which comes as no shock to you but thankfully we aren't dealing with snow or ice. *keep fingers crossed* Unfortunately, winter isn't over and we'll no doubt get hit before it March rolls around. Keep warm and think spring thoughts. That's what I'm doing. :)
