It's March, finally. Oh, that extra day! Where I live, we had a record high temperature on Tuesday and then, Wednesday night, a powerful cold front came through. Thursday was uncomfortable. We had periods of snow squalls and some peeks of blue sky in between the lake effect snows.
Today is supposed to be better.
Speaking of blue skies...
For this first day of March I'd like to show you four views of the same sky as we walk along a somewhat circular path in our local park.
I was struck by all the contrails in the picture.
Some interesting clouds underneath the darker patch. I didn't see the dark patch with my eyes but that is what my iPhone 13 mini camera showed me.
Moving along...
This last view is pointing towards the sun. What a difference the lighting made in this angle.

...keep looking up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lines.
ReplyDeleteWow, what your iPhone caught that you didn’t see
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting set of sky pix, Alana!
ReplyDeleteOh, that reminded me I meant to post contrails too! I think I put the photos in my "Walks with Mickey" sky folder instead of just "Skies." Oh, well, another Friday! I like how they cross each other, and I wonder where they are off to, and if I'd like to go too!
ReplyDeleteNice sky pictures. Contrails can certainly provide some very interesting patterns.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteThe contrails really do make the skies interesting. Beautiful sky photos!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting sky!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Nature is the best painter
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how the color of the sky changes just based on the angle of the sun from where you're looking.
ReplyDeleteIt always pays to look up.
