Nothing is Forever #WordlessWednesday #blogboost

Recent events show us how life can change in a moment.  Just one helicopter crash took nine lives from our world in just an instant (including a beloved sports giant and one of his daughters) and even spawned various hoax rumors.

It may seem trivial, but I was walking in the mall the other day and this scene struck me - it isn't just lives that can disappear in a moment.  So many retail stores have closed in recent years, impacting the lives of all their employees.

I can only wonder what happened in our latest store closing in our local mall.  What happened to the employees?  How long will it take them to find new employment?  How will they pay their bills.

How sad.
Nothing lasts forever.

Day 29 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge #blogboost

  1. So true - a reminder that we shouldn't assume anything is permanent - in business or relationships!

  2. Sadly, life is all about change, but not all of it is good change. Clever thought with the photo.

  3. The saddest part of this mortal life. Something I’ll never adjust to. Everything is always supposed to stay the same!

  4. I never shopped there, but it's sad to see stores close. I think online shopping is hurting brick and mortar stores.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  5. So true. Our world is changing too fast at times. Words can't convey how fragile life is, especially in the light of that helicopter crash. Maybe our mortality is the one thing that bounds us all together.

  6. I watch a lot of YouTube videos that walk through dead or dying shopping malls. It's very sad, and at the same time fascinating.

  7. So very true. Wonder what things will be like in 20 years?

  8. I was shocked when I heard Forever 21 was closing. It wasn't so long ago when all the kiddos shopped there.

  9. I guess having 'forever' in your name doesn't forcast your longevity!
