Dove Footprints in the Snow #WordlessWednesday

It's warming up now, but we aren't forgetting the snow we had last week.

Mouring doves like to visit my backyard, and I captured some of their footprints in the snow.

I like the patterns the shadows made.

These birds don't seem to mind the snow at all.

  8. I always watch birds with their feet in the snow or in the--shudder--icy water (with chunks of ice floating nearby) and wonder if they have any feeling in those feet at all?!
But I do love their little tracks!

  9. Sweet little footprints. Doves are so much nicer than the noisy pigeons we get!

  10. I would think birds wouldn't like the cold. But then again, why wouldn't they?
