My guest photographer, who lives in rural Broome County, New York, took these pictures yesterday.
The snowstorm called "Riley" was kind (comparatively) to where I live. It wasn't so kind in some other parts of New York. My spouse's relatives in Westchester County (just north of New York City) are still without power, as is the entire area where my mother in law used to live. Thankfully, she is up here now.
I can just imagine how many trees are down "downstate".
But my guest photographer, who lives to the east of Binghamton, got, in total, about 24 inches of snow.
For your enjoyment (from the comfort of where your computer is), some pictures I could never bring you.
A neighbor's dog.
The dog in the winter wonderland.
A blue jay.
And a house that gives you an idea of how much snow she got. No one will be sitting on that bench for a while.
Hoping the weather is nicer for you, dear reader!
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

Dog looks like he’s having fun. Better him than me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome wildlife photos. I can remember getting that kind of snow and more when I was growing up. Thankfully it doesn't happen anymore. I'm glad your MIL is now safely where you are and I hope those affected by the snowstorm are doing okay and staying safe.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr. Nope, we didn't get snow like that. Glad you didn't get the worst of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I have never been in a place where it's completely covered by snow. Must be quite an experience.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite a fairytale wonderland, Alana. Thank you for sharing. :)
