And, anyway, I needed a post with a title beginning with "Q".
Here are some examples, which I offer in an affectionate spirit.
In Mt. Dora, people want other people to be happy.
It has its own polar bear, "Monty".
A local business has a bubble blowing machine, where children and adults gather to enjoy the bubbles (they are a bit hard to see in the photograph but the bubbles are there).
Quirky and just a few miles from all those theme parks.

"Q" day for the Blogging from #AtoZChallenge - my theme, "Florida Outside the Theme Parks".
Alana,
ReplyDeleteSome artists are quirky true but the stranger and weirder they are the more artistic they are. I wonder if it's because they have removed all barriers that inhibit others? Hmmm, Mr. Dora has a Polar Bear? Is this for real? I'd think a Polar Bear in Florida would be miserable. I'd be terribly unhappy to live in Florida especially when spring arrives. I don't like severe weather and I know it really starts heating up that far south fast. Thanks for dropping by yesterday, my friend!

I think quirky places are lovely - they have character and whimsy - what's not to love?

Q for Quality not Quantity
Aww, love that they have a polar bear. Looks like a nice little town!
ReplyDeleteI love artist communities.
ReplyDeleteI love quirkiness, especially if it's artsy quirkiness. What a cool place that must be. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteIf I ever get to Florida, I want to visit Mt. Dora. I love the idea of the residents having a polar bear and wanting others to be happy. :-)
