The daylily season is almost over for my beds.
We've had a rainy summer and Friday was no exception.
Many times daylilies look beat up after a rainstorm, but not these.
Enjoy. The season is all too short.

Those are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThanks, Songbird!
DeleteLove the pix!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOh, I LOVE them! And especially in the rain!
ReplyDeleteCome visit, and you'll see lots of rain. Hoping for the sun again.
DeleteRain... in summer? It can rain in summer? I must ponder this. Water, falling from the sky, in summer... Bizarre.
ReplyDeleteNot only that, but sometimes, when the clouds break, there is this really bright yellow ball in the sky. It's so bright you can't look directly at it. Would you know anything about that? By the way, we are under a flash flood warning right now. Sigh.
DeleteI love daylilies! They grew well in Georgia, where I used to live, and my only regret is that I discovered this cheerful bloom too late. There were many years I missed out because I simply didn't know about them. Easy growers, they were perfect garden lovelies for a not-green-thumb like me.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, and I hope one day you can find a way to grow them once again.
DeleteDay lilies are one of my faves! They always remind me of summer drives on country roads ... Another fave :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous. Would love to have a home adorned with these gorgeous gifts.
