Green #AtoZChallenge #blogboost #MusicMovesMe

It's Monday and time for G Day on the Blogging from A to Z Challenge and Music Moves Me.

Who are the #MusicMovesMe bloggers? We are bloggers who blog about music each Monday and if you have music to share with us, you are most welcome to join! (Music Posts Only on this music train, please!)   First, there is XmasDolly,   Her co-conductors are:  Callie of JAmerican Spice,  and ♥Stacy of Stacy Uncorked♥   Also, co-conducting  is  Cathy from Curious as a Cathy .  And finally, there's me.

<!-- end LinkyTools script —> This month our guest conductor is Kim from The ReInVintaged Life. Next week I'll be blogging on a theme but this week we are free to listen and dance to whatever music we want.  But because this is "G" day on the Blogging from A to Z Challenge...well, the Big G stands for Goodness.  A memory from my childhood:

G also stands for gardening.  And green.  And so much more.  Before we get into the music, how about a couple of green pictures, as my theme for the Blogging from A to Z challenge is "Finding America through photography".
In 2017, I was able to attend a garden tour in Virginia.  This is an annual event called the Historic Garden Week which benefits various gardens and historic sites.  This year it begins on April 27  and ends on May 4.

These pictures were taken in Ashland, Virginia.  On these tours, some owners permit pictures and others don't.  Thank you, all for opening up your beautiful gardens for a Good cause.

Aren't they green?   And beautiful?  But now, onto the music.

Here are some songs beginning with "G".

Georgy Porgy by Toto.

Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio.  I have never been heavily into rap, but there are a handful of rap songs whose lyrics blow me away.  This is one of them.

The Green Door - Jim Lowe.  This song is from 1956.

One more - Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws.

And now, Green Grow the credits:

  3. I love that tree house! Not familiar with any of the G music selections so that was a fun listen.

  4. I like the guitarist Nils' cover of "Georgy Porgy." Never knew it was a cover until I heard Toto's version. Good set here! I have a playlist of "green" songs floating around somewhere...

  5. Loving your tunes even though I was introduced to many, but I love a tune I can bounce and sway too! Don't you? Love your tree house. Totally awesome. I would love it for me for pity sakes, but my grandchildren would love it. Thanks for sharing and I love the flowers, but I cannot have because I'm allergic to bees. :( Great tunes my friend. Thanks for the introductions and the pretty flowers.

  7. Thank you for commenting, all! One note: those gardens and the tree house are not mine (not even close!). They belong to a stunning garden we visited in 2017 as part of the Virginia Historical Gardens Week tour (the info may have gotten a little too buried in my blog post.) I wish...oh,how I wish.

  8. I just love all the green. We back up to woods and I'm really sick of seeing all of the brown tree limbs, bring back the buds and the leaves (my allergies hate me for saying that, btw).

  9. The photos are gorgeous, Alana! Also, all your musical selections were new to me. I had no idea Toto had done Georgy Porgy. That is a blast from MY childhood, though I honestly can't remember when I first heard it or who sang it.

I can't wait to see what other photos you post this month! I thought about the A-Z challenge, but when the car trouble hit, I knew I wouldn't be able to go through with it.

  10. As of a child of the 90s, "Gangsta's Paradise" is my "jam". Have you ever heard the Weird Al version?

Great song choices - those were all introductions to me! Thanks for the dance! :)
