The Rainy Road Taken #SkywatchFriday

Last Friday afternoon, spouse and I started to exercise walk on the Vestal Rail Trail in Vestal, New York.  A few minutes in, it started to rain.

We walked in the rain for a while, but the rain got heavier and we took refuge under a bridge.  I spent the time taking pictures of wildflowers.

When the rain let up, the view looked so...Skywatch like.

There were large puddles everywhere and I started to take pictures of the reflections in some of them
You can still see raindrops falling.

Join with the sky loving crew at #SkywatchFriday each Friday, and see skies from all over the world.

  1. Beautiful!! That is something I do not understand about NY--we have the same issue with flash flooding/puddles. The winter is something else, smiles.

  2. Wow...I love the view. Especially the clouds reflecting in the puddles.

  4. I fear our rain will preclude great visions of the sky today. But, on the plus side, the temps have dropped almost 30 F (from 94 to 65).

  5. I find it refreshing to walk in the rain (as long as it's not too heavy!). Enjoy your weekend.

  7. P.S. I was reading my comments...and thought I probably should correct something--which I had no idea there were 2 Stonybrook's until my husband told me. The Stonybrook we went to is in Steuben County (the county we live in)-I attend school at SUNY Geneseo--which is still a hike--one has to walk a 1/2 mile from commuter parking to the History building where I have to go. It is a bear in the winter time, just saying. Ok, so please excuse my stupidity I had no idea there were 2 of them. sigh. grin
