I keep coming up short on good sunsets for some reason, so I went down to our local park with spouse yesterday afternoon for a short exercise walk and some inspiration.
The walk started out with nice skies.
But, a few minutes later, a brisk wind suddenly blew up.
The skies didn't look that nice anymore.
That brisk wind was cold. I saw some leaves (not pictured) blowing in the wind.
"Fall is nearly here", the wind whistled at us. "It's only a matter of time".
But then, the sun started to come out again. So I took the chance, minutes after sunset, to look. The clouds were starting to color up. Would I finally get a good sunset for my readers?
But then the color disappeared, just like that, leaving just the crickets, the birds heading for their nighttime perches, and a sliver of the moon.
Today, once again, I am joining Yogi and other sky watching bloggers for #SkywatchFriday.
During a flight from Dallas, TX, recently, I found myself captivated by the clouds. I remember being younger and thinking that clouds were a mirage of a distant land. Thank you for sharing, made me smile.
ReplyDeleteGreetings and Salutations! Oh my. The skies do change in a blink of an eye. Gray skies. More gray skies. And then BAM colorful skies. And then finishes with gray skies. Safely you return home from the walk. Second to last paragraph is written so beautifully. Do you write poetry?
ReplyDeleteInteresting skies. Yes, fall is coming.
ReplyDelete...the sky is ever changing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all the pictures, but the one with the sliver of the moon was my favorite! Interesting how quickly the sky changed too!

ReplyDeleteSpectacular clouds, though, Alana. And that brief glimpse!
ReplyDeleteSunsets not necessary. Any sky will do, I should think. I do like moody clouds sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very dramatic sky!
