1st Two Weeks of April Skies #SkywatchFriday

Welcome to Skywatch Friday on a Thursday. If you are looking for my Blogging from A to Z post please click here.

I am blogging early because I have three memes to participate in.  I am going to participate in Skywatch Friday today and in Garden Bloggers Bloom Day and Blogging from A to Z tomorrow.

Today, I want to share with you skies from the first two weeks of April.

A farm on the Taconic Parkway in New York State. I hadn't been on that road since September of 2019.   We used to take that highway several times a year when my mother in law was still alive, and now we rarely travel there.   I always wonder if that farm will still be there.  This April, it was.

Crossing the Hudson River.

April 9, a peaceful scene at the local park.

Today we had to take our morning walk early, because storms were threatened for this afternoon.
There is a cloud in the middle of the picture that, to me, looks either like a peacock with his tail down or a squirrel with a very long tail.

In my final shot, the storm clouds start to gather.

I now have a question for my favorite photographers.  Is there photo editing software you can recommend for an iPhone SE?  I've been using PS Express on and off for years to make collages.  Now, they want me to  use social media to sign into the app "which will share information with..." No way to get around it.  I don't want to get into that.  So I can no longer use this software and I plan to delete it.  I'm willing to pay a reasonable cost for an app that is easy for a beginner to use, but it must be able to make collages.  If you have suggestions, thank you!

Joining Yogi and other skywatching bloggers for an early #SkywatchFriday.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow, too, for a combined Garden Bloggers Bloom Day/Blogging from A to Z Challenge.

  2. Great photos. I am always amazed how beautiful New York is.
You know I use an Iphone SE and I use a specialized app for making collages but I don't have any apps that have meaningful editing and makes collages. I have a lot of editing apps but only use a few. It seems like the new ones all want you to sign up for a yearly term or so. I'm a cash and carry kind of guy.

  4. Pretty skies. The only photo editing software I use is the one that is embedded in the iPhone (so their in house software). Sorry I can't be of any help.

  6. I hope you find the program you need, my issue with apps, and why I have few, is that their permissions demand access to my address book. Umm, no, way too intrusive.
