The 2022 Scarecrows Part 1

It's time to celebrate fall.

Each year for the past six years, Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, New York has held a scarecrow contest.

This is the seventh year, and it has become a favorite of both adults and children.  Many of the entries are created by non profits.  They also seem to be becoming more elaborate each year.

Park goers can vote for their favorite, but fun is the main theme.  And the area children love to visit the displays.

There were nearly 50 entries this year.

Voting ends October 23, and results will be announced October 28.

This will be the first of several posts so I can pay tribute to these artists.  I don't take pictures of all of them - it would be too overwhelming.

The first entry needed two photos.

You may recognize the second scarecrow.

This witch is going to be cold this morning.

 Here's Audrey saying"Feed Me!"

I hope those photos don't get too soggy.
The contest is free to enter, and has just a handful of rules to be followed.

We do have a creative community; don't you agree?

Do you have something like this where you live?
