It's Monday and it's time for music!
Who are the Music Moves Me bloggers?
The Music Moves Me bloggers blog about music
each Sunday or Monday and if you have music to share with us, you are most
welcome to join! (Music Posts Only-meaning at least one music video,
please!) Our head host is Xmas Dolly, and our co-hosts are Cathy from Curious as a Cathy, joined by the knowledgeable Stacy of Stacy Uncorked and yours truly.
You are welcome to join our Monday music group. It's so easy. All you have to do is join the linky above with a music post that contains at least one music video. No music video? Your post may be removed, or may be labeled *NO MUSIC*.We alternate theme weeks and no theme weeks.
Today's theme is: "Anything to do with a masquerade or disguise or songs relating to the truth, reality, nothing hidden."
This song is from a favorite group of the 1980's: From Berlin, Masquerade. The Masquerade, the Carpenters' 1973 cover of a song written in 1972 by Leon Russell.
Honesty - Billy Joel, from 1978.
Policy of Truth - Depeche Mode.
Next is a song by a group called Undisputed Truth that tells the truth, and it's true, both then and now. Here is Smiling Faces Sometime.
Maybe this doesn't fit the theme completely, but I thought of this Beatles song "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" from 1965. I loved this song as a young teen.
And that's a wrap! But before I go: I am having a lot of problems commenting on Blogger blogs whose comment sections will only accept a Blogger (google) login. I can only use one particular browser (for now) - I can't use either my iPhone or iPad, either. In a perfect world I would ask if you would consider changing your Blogger settings but for now, please be aware that I am still reading your blogs - I just am having problems commenting.
Join me again next week for another episode of Music Moves Me.
Great choices!
ReplyDelete...most never hit my radar screen.
ReplyDeleteAlana,
ReplyDeleteYou'll might want to take note my mid-month BOTB feature is Leon Russell's "The Masquerade" featuring two female contenders neither of which is Karen Carpenter.
I like your song picks. You did a fab job. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me, darlin'! Have a boogietastic week! xo
Another great list. Happy Monday, Beth Havey
ReplyDeletePerfect choices for this theme.
ReplyDeleteThis is sucha. great theme. So different!
ReplyDeleteSuch great songs! Thank you, Alana!
ReplyDeleteLove your choices and the Beatles tune fits. I am unsure if I am one of those bloggers but I have no idea how to fix it. I notice, on my iPad, that it says to sign in but I look like I am. I have tried to fix it but just don't know how. It's frustrating because I'm fine on my phone just not my iPad.
ReplyDeleteGreat selections, especially the Undisputed Truth!
ReplyDeleteSmiling Faces. That was a classic. All were good takes on a theme, but this one always moves me.
ReplyDeleteDidn't recognize the first tune, bit it was pretty good. Amd the others were superb. Thanks.
