North Pole #ShadowshotSunday

Here's a picture of the North Pole for your enjoyment.

I'm only kidding.  Yesterday there was an Ugly Sweater 5K run at one of our local parks.  Besides the North Pole, Santa was there to cheer on the runners.  This was also on the running path.

Runners had their choice of belonging to Team Santa or Team Grinch and ended the run with hot chocolate and cookies for all participants.

As for my spouse and I, we chose our normal walk through the park, as neither of us are runners.  Here's a shadow we encountered on the walk, as our cloudy skies broke for a while and we got some actual shadows.

  1. This is the time of year for Christmas themed 5Ks and sunny cold walks.
    I walk my 5Ks now.

  2. Looks like a beautiful day for a run. Or a walk.

  3. No, I'm not a runner either, never was. It sounds like it was a fun event for those who did. Yesterday the city next to mine (closest to me store-wise) had a big event with Santa arriving, and cocoa too. I didn't go. Their events are always packed, and line the main street they close for every holiday, even the minor ones.

  4. I suppose the long shadow in the park, welcomes both groups: the runners and the walkers.

  8. Yeah, I'd be with you on that walk. Leave the 5K runs to the runners.
