Yesterday was the first day of spring where I live.
It's not that common to have crocuses on March 19.
But it is (or was, as our weather has been so unusual) common to have some snow on the ground.
Introducing - first day of spring crocus and snow.
And now we are back to winter.

I was brought up short by your first sentence. Somehow I hadn't realized that yesterday was the first day of (calendar) spring as we've had actual spring for a while now. I hope actual spring arrives for you soon!

It's been a strange weather year. Is this how El Nino effects your area? I know we got the expected surge in rain.
ReplyDeleteI love your crocus's in the snow. Here in Oklahoma, every once in a great while, we get snow when the redbuds are in bloom. I love it.
ReplyDeleteouch! we have the forecast for temperature drop as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, we got snow to. Our forsythia is bloomi g which normally happens in April. Crazy weather
ReplyDeleteI hope the snow will be gone soon and the flowers will bloom and you will enjoy the colored image!

The crocus can survive the snow
ReplyDeleteForsythia around here are already dropping their flowers.. And now snow covers everything.
ReplyDeleteIt got really chilly Monday night (mid 20s) for us. I'm glad we didn't have to worry about snow, even a light amount. What a way to greet the first day of spring, huh? I'm ready for steady warmer temperatures!
