Changeable.
We get mild. Then it gets windy (dangerously windy). For the second week in a row, dangerous winds (especially in other parts of upstate New York), plunges in temperature, and hard freezes follow each other. Then it warms up again.
Here are some photos from March 8, ahead of another wind situation.
Right after sunrise.
About half an hour later, I arrived at work and took this picture in the small city downtown where I work.
Later that day. These look so dramatic, don't they?

I like those dramatic skies! And you have a crocus blooming! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThere are still over 300,000 folks without power here. My neighbor and my son both lost very large spruce trees. Just uprooted right out of the ground. I'd blog about it but I am battling a bad cold.
ReplyDeleteScary weather times. Happy none of you were hurt, and I will hope for a quick end to your cold.
DeleteAs always, great photos
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLovely to see some blue sky shining through - I can't feel the wind from here (you're a long way away!) so it just looks like a glorious and cloudy day - which must be better than snow and ice by now :)
ReplyDeleteGlorious and cloudy is better than snow, but we've had snow showers on and off all day. The wind chill is brutal right now, and it should get down to about 8 (-13C) tonight. Brrrrr.
DeleteThe U of M basketball team had their plane blown OFF the runway hesding to the Big10 Tournament. It's why the tournament was delayed- and they didn't have their uniforms to play.
ReplyDeleteThat's WINDY!
Today it's a snow storm - hurry up spring we need you!
ReplyDeleteIt raining here. Looking forward for snow to shirk down.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
It's so pretty. Here in NC we've hit almost 80, and then it's supposed to snow this weekend or next week, sooo ... ;)
ReplyDeletefantastic sky
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been up and down too. We've had 70s, we had a sleet storm, then more 70s and now tonight we're going to have snow. I hope the flowers survive it.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos! Our weather in S CA is all over the place too. From lots of rain recently (yeah, we needed it!) to summer-like temps in the upper 80's. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOne extreme to the other.
ReplyDeleteThat's the upstate New York that I remember! We've been windy here too, with several wildfires already.
ReplyDeleteBut that's the nature of March, is it not? I hope you get mild temps soon.
