I left my house just in time to see the sun peaking over the horizon.
Several minutes later, nearby, I saw this cloud stretching across the sky. My weather geek spouse said only "that's a strange cloud!" I'm sorry I only took one picture.
Finally, the sun rose.
Happy last day of March. Where I live in upstate New York, it is pouring rain, and we are under a flood watch. Tomorrow, we may get snow, and that's no April Fools.
Visit other bloggers participating in #SkywatchFriday and see how many marvelous ways you can take pictures of the sky.
Note: In April, I participate in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. My theme will be "traveling through time and space". I don't know, yet, if I can fit this meme into the Challenge, but I invite you to check out my blog anyway and see some of my travels - literal, and through memory.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

That cloud does look strange, as you say. Always a good idea to have the camera handy, isn't it? I do too. As for the A-Z Challenge, I'm opting out of it due to time constraints but will keep coming to visit your blog as and when time permits. All the best, Alana :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Esha!
DeleteYes, that is definitely a strange cloud. It's racing here, too, but I think we are done with snow.
ReplyDeleteAmazing clicks !!!
ReplyDeleteWe are due for a drenching, too, today. But, we've been short of precipitation (thankfully, even more of the white kind has been missing) for a while. So, it's good for our flowers and our reservoirs. Bad for my biking routine.
ReplyDeleteWe have had nothing but clouds and rain here. There is a flood-watch and I have my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI always think of the "fronts" they talk about on the weather report when I see one of those clouds Alana - they look like what I imagine a front would look like. I can't believe the A to Z starts tomorrow - I'm not ready! It will be good to share it with you :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky photos!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week-end!
wow, I love your sky pictures. Here, the sky is all gray. It snowed yesterday for a short time. The snowflakes were enormous! Then the snow was replaced by these little pingy precipitation thingies that stung my face. Ugh! Nothing worse than rude precipitation. And, yes, I'm doing the A to Z challenge. It's Life is an adventure although it could be Let's do stream of consciousness daily but I don't think that I could carry that off and readers might be confused.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Is that what they call a roll cloud?
ReplyDeleteThat is a weird cloud. Did it bring inclement weather? Well, more inclement than predicted?
ReplyDeleteLovely sky images.
ReplyDeleteThat cloud really is strange and interesting. Good thing you got a pic of it, you might never see one like it again.
ReplyDeleteI love the cloud picture. We had tons of rain last night, and are under a flood watch until this evening. No snow for us, fortunately.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with A to Z! I'm doing it too, but I don't have a theme.
I'm gonna have to agree with your spouse... that IS a strange-looking cloud, and a beautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteNice pics, true blogger keeping your camera ever ready.
ReplyDeletelove the second shot most
