It is 50 degrees F right now (10 C), and supposed to get to a record high today around 70 (20 C).
But I'm not fooled. Tonight and tomorrow the forecast is freezing rain turning to snow, with three to five inches (up to 13 cm) expected. Now, that's more like normal.
To get us into the mood:
These pictures were taken by my "guest photographer" the first week of February.
Snow on the ground is normal this time of year where I live in the Southern Tier of New York State.
One day, spring will be here for good. But not yet.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

If this is what winter rain is like - my yard is a swamp - I do not want to see spring rains. Crazy weather.
ReplyDeleteYeah. We had 25 F and snow on Saturday, 45 on Sunday, and 78 yesterday. From heat to AC and back again- in February.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. This weather is so confusing -- although I am not complaining. I always like warm weather, any time of year!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are beautiful but definitely wintry! I live on Florida's Gulf coast, so we're heading into the 80s today. I don't envy you the cold. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteIt was low 70's it here yesterday and high 70's here today. Yet tomorrow we dip back to the 50's. I'm so ready for Spring to come! Loved this!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures!
ReplyDelete-21C here this morning. Spring is far, far away . . .
That just looks cold. We're having a cold snap this week as well. Although, it's been pointed out that no one else but us would consider this weather cold.
ReplyDeleteWoaa it looks so amazing... But that's seriously cold. I don't know if I would even move in that temperature 😊
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I haven't experienced snow yet. I hope spring will arrive soon where you are!
