By the time I started my commute on Monday, it was snowing pretty good, and it was also the blue hour.
I took these pictures with my iPhone SE in downtown Binghamton, New York.
I loved the way these pictures came out.
Here is a picture of one of the main streets of downtown with a better view of the sky. It had not yet turned the white of an active snow sky.
This will be the last winter SkywatchFriday until December, but I have a sinking feeling next week's photos will still have snow in them.

They do look beautiful . I do hope this is the last winter sky because I’m flying out this Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful time experiencing the winter especially since I was here only for 4 weeks.
My daughter used to be in Minneapolis and she used to complain about the bitter winters there. So I came to NJ just to have a taste of it .
Luckily I enjoy food and loved shopping at Wegmans and trying out new dishes.
Will miss this back home but want a warm sun !
Love the blueness!
ReplyDeleteThey are saying more snow for us next week too. Enough already. Those blue mornings are always eerie to me.
ReplyDeleteLovely and chilly! (Still have snow and very cold temps here too!)
ReplyDeleteLove the old buildings in that first image. It appears that the "blue hour" is a great time to snap a few images. Have a blessed week-end.
ReplyDeleteThe blue hour?
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's one more thing to annoy us about the time change. Just when you're getting used to having the sun up when you're up, it goes away...
Wow, I love how they came out too, the blue tint brings an eeriness to the winter landscape.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful effect you have got with your phone! I love the light blue filter look to the snow!
ReplyDeleteThankful Thursday Week 11 and Rescue a Post
These shots do have a pretty blue tint. Nice captures!!
ReplyDeleteI like these photos too, the blue tint is a nice effect in these images. Looks very cold there.
ReplyDeleteNeat! They definitely have the early morning feel.
ReplyDeleteThe blue makes the scenes look especially wintry. I was talking to my painter sister the other day and she talked about in painting all snow is a shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteYou still got so much snow. The blue hour looks so pretty. But it must be so cold, to get up tgat early and commute. Our daylight saving is going to start next month. Evenings are going to get darker soon.
