And I Voted - #WordlessWednesday

Yesterday was Election Day in the United States, and everyone seemed to be high-fiving themselves on social media.
Yes, I voted.  But why should I brag?  Rather, I should have been ashamed if I hadn't.

Nature gave us a bonus right before I traveled to the poll.  It had rained most of the day, but the sun finally came out, and lit up this tree - half gold and half green.  A sign of a brighter future ahead?

  1. Back when I was in politics I had to get petitions signed. Going door-to-door in my neighborhood I was shocked by adults who told me they were not even registered. These were native born Americans, not new immigrants. I always told my Boy Scouts that they had a right to vote and a responsibility to do so.

  2. That is exactly why I refused the sticker. (BTW, what ever happened to the buttons? Another cost-saving measure?)

  3. It rained here too.
It was a choice to vote. I'm glad I did. I am glad I get to do it freely.
And the high fives on social media is great. It helps people to want to go and get it done also :)

  4. I love the two toned tree! I voted also, I feel if you don't vote, you have no right to complain.

  6. My daughter turned 18 a few weeks ago! She was so excited to vote and it was very exciting and emotional to take her to the polls with me to vote...not just as the little girl in tow....there was never any doubt we would be voting.

  7. I considered posting something to social media, but I'm really good at talking myself out of things like that. I mean, who cares? At least, those that follow me don't care, I think.
