Rail Trail Skies #SkywatchFriday

Our spring where I live continues its up and downs, but we've been treated to some nice puffy clouds in recent days.

On days when I'm not working (I'm officially retired but still working part time for now) my spouse and I head for somewhere we can walk.  Wednesday and yesterday, it was the Vestal Rail Trail.

Actually, this is just an excuse to take pictures of some pretty trees along the trail.

White crabapple (I think).
 Pink Dogwood.

A little hard to see, but this is a Russian Olive, a very invasive tree.  They are starting to bloom, and my spouse loves their scent.  Me - to me it's awful.

Today it reached the 70's F (22C).  Perhaps - finally? - we'll have true spring weather?

One more before I go.

Joining up today with Yogi and the other bloggers who watch the sky for #SkywatchFriday.

And speaking of spring and flowers - if you want to see even more flowers, join me tomorrow for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day.

  2. ...I believe that your Russian Olive is Autumn Olive.

  3. I'm hoping for some spring weather here too, it's been really cold. Today's rainy but I love that this time of year, even if the weather's lousy, I can look out the window and see color.

  7. Gorgeous! I love your pictures!
We're finally getting some Spring weather here. I walked along one of of my usual trails and suddenly there was a blooming tree! (Dogwood, I think) I was so excited I nearly ran into it.
