A Virtual Bouquet of Roses #WordlessWednesday

It's time for another Wordless Wednesday, and today, my topic is roses.

These pictures were taken Saturday at Cutler Botanic Gardens in Binghamton, New York.  For us, these are early roses.

Harison's Yellow Rose, an heirloom from a New York City garden circa 1824, it seems to have gone out west with settlers "and is still found in old homesteads along the Oregon Trail".  Fascinating story.

Frau Dagmar Hastrup (which my auto correct somehow turned into "Frau Dagmar Hardtop").

Last but not least:  Sarah Van Fleet, from the 1920's.
