Strange Signs #WordlessWednesday

From October 28, some strange signs at a local farm stand.

Clearance on classic pumpkins?  Wow!  Who knew there was such a thing as a classic orange pumpkin?

Decorative fall grass.  No, tall decorative fall grass.  Maybe it was perfect for Halloween because it was all dead.  Well, dead but still decorative. And tall.  And the sign didn't say "still alive". So no false advertising claims, please. RIP.

See any strange signs around lately?

  2. Not as strange as these strange signs. You did make me chuckle though.

  3. Well, pumpkins do also come in white so maybe the sign writer is trying to make the distinction. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with white pumpkins - orange is the way to go! And I find the "dead" ornamental grasses quite attractive.

  10. I have a classic orange pumpkin sitting beside my steps that I'd give you but you probably wouldn't want it. It has an ugly place on the top which began decaying rather fast. My shopper didn't do a good job picking this one out but hey at least I didn't have to make a trip to the store to get it last month. :) This post reminded me I need to toss it over the bank to finish decomposing, along with the two planters of fall mums. :(
