Downtown, on Queen Street, Charleston, South Carolina, is where you can find beautiful, historic buildings.
Queen and State Street. This building dates from approximately 1814 and was part of the original walled city. The neighborhood at present is called The French Quarter.
These are not recent photos but I am using them for the letter "Q".
"Q"day for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. My theme this year is: Exploring South Carolina and the Eastern United States.
...they continue to rebuild Charleston one board at a time.
ReplyDeleteQ is a hard letter, but you found something interesting to discuss.
ReplyDeleteYou have done so well with the letters! Even a Q! My Q was going to be terrible! Actually, K would have been too.
ReplyDeleteWell done!

Lol. I think I have the same photo of the Mills House Hotel.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the restoration. The new hotel does look historic. I much prefer this to some modern, glass fronted tower.
ReplyDeleteSad they had to knock the old hotel down, but I can imagine how bad it must have been to make them do so.
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. I love the old structures. How wonderful that it is being maintained.
ReplyDeleteHi Alana - I'd love to visit the Carolinas sometime and see your Queen Street - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteNifty work for Q! Charleston is on my bucket list as is Atlanta, because my entire travel wish list is basically from books as I read as a teenager.
