Butterfly and Bee #WordlessWednesday

Oh where, oh where have all the butterflies gone?

August 6, the first monarch butterfly I was able to photograph this year.

We see bees but not near as many as we used to.

August 3, bee on anise hyssop.

    Like you, I see fewer bees around the garden than I used to and that makes me sad. My favorites are the bumblebees like the one on your hyssop. I treasure each sighting.

    Excellent images with so many details! Can you tell me the name of that pink flower? I saw it in many places but I do not know the name.

      We call it red clover, although it has pink flowers. It originated in Europe but we've had it since sometime in the 1600's. For us it's very common.

    We saw butterflies a while ago, but not recently. Right now fireflies are all over and they are fun.
