I rarely see a sunrise anymore But yesterday was an exception.
Yes, I know the sun rises every day whether or not I see it. And I know, in the three plus years since I started working part time (and I'm too busy scurrying around on days I work and sleeping when I don't) I must have missed some good ones.
Yesterday, I didn't miss a good one.
Spouse and I both had early dentist appointments. When we went out to the car, a light show greeted us. I knew I was late to the party but I just started taking pictures as spouse drove.
Sorry about the power lines.Layers of sky colors.
Seconds later. The bottom is blurred by motion and by mist rising from the ground.
A sky and mist parfait.
Joining Yogi and other skywatchers each Friday for #SkywatchFriday.
...recently, we have seen some orange light shows too.
ReplyDeleteVery nice
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a sunrise in I don't know how long. One of the side effects of being retired. I can get whenever I want.
ReplyDeleteThank you for not worrying about powerlines and other urban stuff in your photos. I quit worrying about them a long time ago and I would have hated to miss the great photos you posted.
Exquisite, if you have to be up that early, at least you are treated to the beauty of the morning sky.
ReplyDeleteSince I retired and don't have to be in my office at 7:00 A.M., I seldom see sunrises either so thank you for these pictures. And, btw, sunrises were among the nicer aspects of having to be at work at 7:00!
ReplyDeleteThat's nice. It pays to get up and out early! I'm usually out with Mickey early, but it seems pretty sunrises aren't as common as the sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a morning person either, but I would get up early for these skies!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. It's hard to stop for the sunrise when we're busy with life stuff. Nice you got to catch this one, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost always up at sunrise, but can only catch a glimpse. Sometimes, things align perfectly and I can see both.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful sky
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for the reminder to wake up and go out for some sunrise images. Have a great weekend.
