What a difference a few hours makes.
New Year's Eve gave us a tantalizing glimpse of blue sky, so unusual at this time of year. Here's the sky about 11:15 am.
About five minutes later, in a different direction, this.
I took another set of photos about 3pm. This is more like our normal December skies. This tree keeps its brown leaves all winter.
I closed out with this photo.
By Thursday, incidentally, we had snow on the ground again.

ReplyDeleteWispy clouds are typical of our mid- to late winter days here on the Gulf Coast. We almost never have a completely clear blue sky. That will come later - June, July, August when we'll be wishing those clouds would return.
