Through the Tree Sunset #SkywatchFriday

The other day, our local power company came by to trim trees that were growing too close to power lines.  They are only concerned with cutting away offending branches, and their trim jobs are rarely, shall we say, pretty.  But at least it's on their dime (which, really, is our dime, but whatever).

Earlier this week, after the job was done, I saw a beautiful sunset in progress.  I knew I didn't have enough time to go to my local lookout spot, so I took pictures through the tree.

I've seen too few sunsets recently.

I did like the view, though.
I need to take time out to watch more sunsets.

Joining Yogi and other sky watchers each Friday for #SkywatchFriday.

  2. Sunsets are lovely. I haven't really seen one for quite a long while.

  3. They wouldn't have to torture trees if they just buried the lines, but nooooo.... They claim that is too expensive. Don't get me started.... Enjoy your sunsets.

  11. Our patio is on the west side of the house and I love sitting there and watching the sun go down behind the trees. As you've captured in your pictures, it is a lovely sight.
