I received an order from a large online retailer the other day.
And speaking of large....
The blue box contains what I ordered. The corrugated cardboard box is what it came in.
Maybe they wanted it well protected, but still....

Sometimes we wonder about packaging too. Amazon will send a tiny thing in a huge box filled with paper as a filler. We would think they have a million sizes of boxes but who knows why they ship things like this?
ReplyDeleteIt’s crazy. But I’ll take that box off your hands, my cat would love it
ReplyDelete...packaging can be excessive!
ReplyDeleteIt's crackers, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGoodness. Maybe that's the only size they had. Makes you wonder.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
I recycle more cardboard than anything else. It is crazy.
ReplyDeleteso much to put in the recycle bin ~ packaging needs to be minimized ~ hugs
ReplyDeleteCrazy! I find that packaging makes less and less sense these days. Who knows what they're thinking :-) Glad your package arrived intact, though!
ReplyDeleteI just got a order, similar packaging. I just wonder if they only have a limited number of box sizes in the warehouse. That's the only thing that makes sense. One good thing Amazon does, it has the baggie packaging for the smaller items.
ReplyDeleteI got something small, rattling around in a large box. It wasn't breakable, so that was fine by me. And I got a nice big box to save for my own use! Maybe they just grab whatever box is nearby. I'd rather have a box than the plastic bags that really don't protect well enough.
ReplyDeleteHaha! We get this a lot, too. You'd think they would want to be a little more environmentally conscious.
ReplyDelete🤣 Companies do this all the time and when it happens to me I always laugh.
ReplyDeleteWe order almost everything to be delivered these days and I can confirm that what you say about packaging is certainly true. I think companies are very concerned to be sure that their products arrive safely, most likely based on their experience with complaints. But that just means more playthings for the cats.
