I was in my back yard yesterday when I heard a rustle.
I saw some movement.
Look above the leaf.
I believe it's a tiny toad, actually (possibly-I am not a toad expert) an American toad toadlet (Anaxyrus americanus). I would love it if any of my readers can make a positive ID.

oh my... well spotted.
ReplyDeleteA toad!
ReplyDelete...enlarging the picture I can see it!
ReplyDeleteAll toads are frogs. I have frogs all over my yard. Toads can't jump, so just watch him move. I had to get a frog out of a large storage bin in my yard. I am still puzzled as to how he got in there. Do they jump two feet into the air?
ReplyDeleteSweet photo of the toad ~ Hugs ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie. I'm always amazed how little they are and how loud they can be.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Toads are good to have in the garden as they eat the pests.
ReplyDeleteI'm always happy to find a toad or frog in my yard. They are both great tenants that always "pay" their "rent!"
ReplyDeleteVery tiny.
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. Haven't seen a toad since I left the Midwest, and that was 50 years ago. How tiny!
ReplyDeleteHe is pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly well disguised!
