Almost Wordless Wednesday - Butterfly

Taken by my guest photographer yesterday.
Late season butterfly on zinnias.

I know little about butterflies, so I hope one of my readers can ID her (or him).

Enjoying the last of our unseasonably hot weather.

Not knowing it will all end by tomorrow.

    Your butterfly is a Painted Lady. There are a lot of them around in fall.

    Beautiful on top of beautiful! The only flying things (besides birds) we have left here are the white flies, flies and fruit flies. Sigh.
