Taken by my guest photographer yesterday.
Late season butterfly on zinnias.
I know little about butterflies, so I hope one of my readers can ID her (or him).
Enjoying the last of our unseasonably hot weather.
Not knowing it will all end by tomorrow.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

Beautiful
ReplyDeleteIt just reminds me of Muhammad Ali... fly like abutterly and sting like a bee.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly is a Painted Lady. There are a lot of them around in fall.
ReplyDeleteYour guest photographer is talented. Getting the butterflies like that... I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful on top of beautiful! The only flying things (besides birds) we have left here are the white flies, flies and fruit flies. Sigh.
ReplyDeletebeautiful. I love the butterflies.
ReplyDeleteIt's still hot Alana! I'm happy though as I quite dread the cold
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dorothy Borders; it looks like a Painted Lady.
