Near Johnson City, New York, about 10 minutes before sunset on October 4.
Half a tree glows, half does not, as the sunset sweeps across the street. This is October now, the season where trees lose their leaves. Before the month is over, this tree, and most others where I live, will be bare.

That's an incredible photo
ReplyDeleteIt's palm trees where I live and big live oaks - but Florida trees, built to withstand constant winds, are nothing like your oaks and maples. Each are beautiful in their own way. I love the trees here in the tropics, but I miss the "mightyness" of your trees - and the colors. - Yes, I can join your Thursday Tree Love
ReplyDeleteOne year I took a picture of a maple outside my house every day for about a month. I wish I kept the pictures. It was really neat to see how it change. You didn't notice day to day, then boom, all the leaves were gone.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!
ReplyDeleteAre tree's are slowing showing there colors.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
I love this idea. Wish I hadn't already posted for today. I write everything the day before. Can posts with this tag have more than one tree photo? I can never seem to stop at one. And I always seem to add so many words for Wordless Wednesday I can't use the tag.
ReplyDeleteI love trees!! Beautiful picture. :) ~Jeanine
ReplyDeleteA great post. I love trees and its amazing to watch as the season changes 🤗
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of a beautiful tree! Fall is such a nice season!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors and lighting of this one. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThat's the one thing I miss in Florida: we have more evergreens and palms than the blazing beauty of deciduous trees. Thanks for sharing this half glowing/half shadowy photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo and with the blue sky backdrop it makes the tree even more magestic. I need to get back to the Tree Blog, I sorta stumbled away.
