Not again.
We fared comparatively well in the nor'easter that hit the eastern United States last Friday, although we had plenty of photo ops anyway - like this picture, taken in Binghamton, New York on March 3. How would you like to be driving (I wasn't, but still) and see this tree leaning over your lane?
And now, we wait. Right now, it's above freezing, but the day has only started.
Another March day in the Southern Tier of New York...
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

We have more snow today too. Up on the main road a large tree fell into the road last week. They had to lop off the top to allow traffic to pass and took the rest of it away over the weekend. We cancelled our trip to Boston for tomorrow cause the airline says they may not be able to fly there. No cancellation penalty.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good decision, Denise.
DeleteWe had big snowflakes. Thankfully, they only stayed on cars.
ReplyDeleteOur storm fizzled out. But the New York City suburbs are getting hammered.
DeleteYou are a hardy bunch up in the southern tier! We're ok in NYC but I worry about the daughter up in Putnam County, and even that is waaay south of you. Be safe!
ReplyDeleteI have some familiarity with Putnam County, as my husband spent part of his childhood there. They were hit really hard by the storm on Friday and they are getting hammered again right now, sorry to say. I hope your daughter has power. I will hope for the best.
DeleteOh wow. Well we hope that the spring comes soon:)
ReplyDeleteYes, please!
DeleteI'm ready for spring. too bad Mother Nature doesn't agree.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready, too! Some people here had crocuses coming up, although I haven't seen any.
DeleteLooks like here. Spring, where art thou?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, but . . . oh, my gosh! So much snow!
ReplyDeleteHopefully by the end of the month the snow will be a distant memory.
ReplyDeleteOh my god this looks terrific to a snow lover like me but I know its dreadful for the peeps experiencing it right now. I simply love these snow images that you share Alana :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Summer has begun here and we have a couple of hot months ahead.. Your part of the world seems like heaven weather-wise :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Spring! We've had our share or winter and nor'easters here in Delaware and I'm over it already. Bring on the flipflops! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that Spring arrives soon for you! Here in India, it is already very hot!
