It's strange, thinking that historical events seem to favor certain dates.

But this year, at my house, it was calm, as winter had collided with Fall Thursday night and Friday.
Fall is trying to reclaim itself.
But watch out for history.
RIP to my mother, who helped encourage my love of learning and writing. It took me a long time to realize that her death shaped me, in ways it took me years to understand. I was a motherless daughter.
And that, too, is part of the legacy of November 9.

ReplyDeleteMost of us alive in 1965 have funny stories about the blackout. I’m sorry that you do not. Sorry for your loss doesn’t seem enough, does it?
