It's Monday and it's time for music with the Music Moves Me Bloggers.
Let's introduce the Music Moves me bloggers: We blog about music each Sunday or Monday and if you have music to share with us, you are most welcome to join! (Music Posts Only-meaning at least one music video, please! Otherwise, your post may be removed, or may be labeled "No Music".) Our head host is Xmas Dolly, and our co-hosts are Cathy from Curious as a Cathy, joined by the knowledgeable Stacy of Stacy Uncorked and, last but not least, ME.
We have a guest host this month-Mary Burris from "Jingle Jangle Jungle".
Today,
our theme is "You Pick Your Own Theme." So let's rock! I'm choosing songs with birds in the title.
Free Bird - Leonard Skynyrd, released in 1974.
El Condor Pasa (If I Could) - Simon and Garfunkel's 1970 cover of a Peruvian song.
Mockingbird - Carly Simon and James Taylor. This live performance is from 1979.
The Beatles - Blue Jay Way, from 1967. It's amazing how George Harrison can play the floor so well.
And that's a wrap!
Join me again next week for another episode of Music Moves Me.
Great choices for the theme! I especially like Free Bird and El Condor Pasa. Have a good week.
ReplyDelete...Free Bird is among my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I hear "Mockingbird", I think of the movie Dumb and Dumber. That's such a hilarious film. "Fly Robin Fly" takes me back to my junior high years. Fun theme! Thanks for putting the boogie in me this morning, my friend! xo
ReplyDeleteDid I hear a bird? I’m saving your playlist …
ReplyDeleteOh, these brought back memories!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Such classic and cool songs.

ReplyDeleteWow. A Beatles song I never heard before? Who knew?
ReplyDeleteGreat ones even enjoyed the Disco one at the end which I've heard before. They don't say much do they? Love the Beatles and that song from Simon and Garfunkel was the first one I had heard way back when on a jukebox. I loved it
ReplyDeleteI couldn't remember that Beatles song. I think as a kid I used to skip it...ha. Too trippy for me back then. I did howver LOVE Fly Robin Fly (and all of Silver Convention's music)
ReplyDeleteOh my lord, I remember that song none to well, that's all I ever heard everywhere... dang song was on the radio all day long, on my car radio, and on TV and every cocktail lounge I went too to dance. hahahahaha It surely made the rounds... GREAT ROUND UP GIRLFRIEND.... HUGS... OH BY THE WAY - GONNA BE A GRAMMA AGAIN... MY YOUNGEST HAS DECIDED TO HAVE ONE MORE!!! WOO HOO! PRAY IT'S A GIRL.. SHE HAS ONE BOY! WOO HOO!
