Feathers on a lawn.
What story do they tell? Were they just shed there as part of molting?
Or was a bird attacked? Did he or her escape?
We may never know the story.

Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

We always wonder that too when we see a few feathers lying on the ground.
ReplyDelete...if one or two, molting. if many, an attack!
ReplyDeleteIf only the feather could talk
ReplyDeleteIn the middle of my small creation (https://suzanamiu.blogspot.com/2015/10/duzina-de-cuvinte-54-tablou-intregit.html) I put a small founded feather.
ReplyDeleteCould be a sign, could be nothing. But I prefere to think that is a message.
Happy WW, Alana! A fine week ahead!❤️😘
It's surprising that we don't see more feathers on the ground, considering the number of birds there are. We rarely see dead birds, either.
ReplyDeleteI often find single feathers in my yard, thanks ( I would guess), to the feeding stations that are in front and backyard.
ReplyDeleteI'll say just a lost feather, if it was attacked I feel like there would be more?
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the feathers ~ thanks,

We find them on our lawn too. We feed all the birds, so we're not surprised about that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
We see very few feathers in the garden, but often many in the fields which means the fox is around.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they just fell out. I see pigeon feathers around here sometimes.
ReplyDeleteOften I find goose feathers. I hope for a more violent end, but I'm sure it wasn't anything like that.
ReplyDeleteFeathers sure are pretty. A few looks innocent enough. I find pieces of bird, wings and such.
