I decided to take some pictures of the smoke haze we've had for the last four or five days.
Monday, I was in a hilly area and decided to take advantage of being up on a hill. It wasn't even humid. This haze is all smoke.
Fortunately, neither my spouse nor I have lung issues.
I fear this is our new normal, as the saying goes. The air was only (only!) "unhealthy" for susceptible groups.
By Thursday, it was starting to clear just a little, up on that same hill.
Today, the air is supposed to be better, just in time for it to get hot again.

There's not much you can do about other people's pollution.
ReplyDelete...this week our skies have been white and unhealthy!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the new normal ….ugh
ReplyDeleteThe haze can make for some great sunset photos, other than that, no thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy local skies are very similar. Lot's of smokey haze.
ReplyDeleteMade for some great pictures.
ReplyDeleteSmoke causes a wonderful haze for us to shoot. Glad you got out and captured these moments and showed us what it looks like in your area.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same haze here in Montreal and the bad air quality and smell of smoke due to the wildfires 🔥
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's something icky about the smoky air. Glad to hear it's clearing up. Not looking forward to our days with similar (although, I know they're coming).
ReplyDeleteSunny sky beats overcast sky any time
ReplyDeletethanks! https://sintrabloguecintia.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the air.
ReplyDeleteThe haze is here in southern Ontario too. Makes it a little hard to breathe, especially when the humidity ramps up. Lovely photos, though! ☺
ReplyDeleteSad.
ReplyDeleteNot as bad as you've had it in the past, so that's good. Just unhealthy! So far we've been smoke-free, but Sept. can be bad. Hope yours gets better.
