Some recent sights in our flower garden on a suddenly rare sunny fall day.
Autumn crocus.
Mums.
A cultivated New England aster.
Finally I never have considered cosmos a fall flower. We had one struggling cosmos plant (of all the ones we planted) and it kept growing bigger, and taller, and did not bloom until last week. Now, this white seashell cosmos is putting on a fall display for us. Here's some of it.
Finally, to all my Jewish readers, I wish you shanah tovah umtukah, may you have a good and sweet new year.

I love all the flowers and especially the last one. Struggling, but look at it now. You made me smile.

ReplyDeleteI love the bright asters.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I don't think of cosmos as a Fall flower - but they do come up late. And look so much better in September than August!

ReplyDeleteThey are all very pretty. Nice variety of colors too. My cosmos didn't do well this year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful autumn blossoms.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of flowers.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to have these beauties. My favorite is the first one. The petals of the aster are so different. I can not remember something similar.
